Komodo Dragons
Explore the Komodo National Park and encounter its iconic inhabitant, the Komodo Dragon. These unique lizards, found only here, are the world's largest, averaging 2-3 meters in length. They primarily inhabit Komodo, Rinca, Gili Motang, Gili Dasami, and Flores, with none on Padar. The park also shelters species like Timor Deer, Water Buffalo, Wild Boar, and the endemic Rinca rat.
Marine Life
Komodo National Park is renowned for its vibrant underwater life. The coral reefs thrive due to clear waters, sunlight, and nutrient-rich currents, making it one of the world's most diverse marine ecosystems. Home to over 1,000 fish species, 260 corals, whales, dolphins, dugongs, sharks, manta rays, and turtles, it was named one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature in 2012.
