DAY 1: KALABAHI (2 dives)
One of our team member will greet you at the airport or hotel and transfer you to the Komodo Sea Dragon.
Depending on guest’s arrival time, a check dive and a night dive will take place.
DAY 2 & 3: PANTAR STRAIGHT (~8 dives)
Between the Islands of Kepa, Pura, Ternate & Buaya there are several dozen dive sites with an incredible variety of diving sceneries. Nutrient-rich adventurous currents for drift diving or sedimentary habitats for muck diving: the diversity of dive site formations make for an abundance of coral and fish, both big and small.
We may visit a local village and replace a dive.
The water temperature can vary greatly in this area. In the North the temperature is usually around 27°C and in the South it can vary from 21°C to 25°C. Currents can be extremely strong in the Pantar Strait, which usually makes for 30m-plus visibility.
DAY 4: TREWEG & BEANBAGAN (4 dives)
The dive sites at Treweg Island consist of rocky slopes covered in all sorts of soft corals, and where one can just drift looking for all kind of pelagic fish such as dogtooth tunas and giant trevallies.
Beanbagan Bay is very different from the rest of Alor. The diving consists mainly of blackish and grayish sand which is the perfect environment to find all kinds of different critters. The water temperature in the south can vary from 21C to 25C.
We will cruise overnight to the traditional whaling village of Lamalera in the south of Lembata Island.
DAY 5: LEMBATA (4 dives)
Day will start with a fringing reef in front of the whaling village of Lamalera and then sail to the small island of Suanggi, in the south of Kawula Island for the second dive. The waters surrounding Suangi are full of fish and it is also a place where sharks are usually spotted.
We will then move for the afternoon dive to Boleng located right in front of Adonara Island and further north of Lembata for a muck night dive on Lewoleba bay.
DAY 6: LEMBATA TO LAPANG (2 dives)
We will start the day at Lewaling Bay, in the north of Kawula Island with the amazing scenery of the 2 volcanoes at each side of the bay. The diving here is very diverse, consisting of walls, slopes and muck dives with a good mix of large and small critters and lots of schooling fish. We will do our 2 last dives here to allow a surface interval of 24 hours before flying.
After the second dive we will cruise to Lapang island for some amazing snorkeling and a relax afternoon. We will then head back to Kalabahi for the night.
DAY 7: KALABAHI
Check out in between 07:00 and 10:00 after breakfast. We will organize transfer to local hotel or airport.
It will be time to bid farewell to the Komodo Sea Dragon and Crew.
Thank you for joining us! We hope you had a wonderful time and look forward to welcoming you again.
