Bonsai

(Central Komodo)
A little rock with one tree is a landmark for a small Eden for macro-photographers.
South from Siaba Besar near the coast of Rinca, the dive starts on the eastern side down to 22-25 m, where going east we will find caves, overhangs and swim through. Small withe tip sharks and groupers often find shelter in these protected areas. Following further forward a slope starts, covered by small colourful coral formations inhabited by nudibranches and flatworms.

All around the small rock in the shallowest part develops an impressive coral garden where numerous invertebrates, ribbon eels and cuttlefish are quite common encounters. Given the position and conformation the currents can be strong.
