Pengah Kecil

(Central Komodo)

A rocky island with steep walls that fall into the blue that create an environment and a situation of very particular currents.

You will start the dive very close to the island, always in the part not exposed to the current. The wall is covered with seafans and countless different species of soft and hard corals that create a perfect habitat for nudibranchs and flatworms. Extremely important to always stay behind the DM and near the reef, as the currents here are sometimes strong.

Almost certainly the sighting of some turtles, Napoleon wrasse, humphead parrotfish, eaglerays and jackfish. The final moments will be spent above a shallow plateau in search of small white-tip sharks, banded bamboo sharks and sea snakes. Visibility is generally good except for some periods of the year when water tends to be reduced.
