A second resort, one hill above the first
Hilltop Komodo Resort sits on the ridge of Sebayur Island, the same private island as Komodo Resort and run by the same team. The difference is the elevation. Instead of looking along the beach, you are looking down over the water at the islands stacked up behind each other, which is the view people hike Padar to photograph.
The bungalows are each raised on stilts so the floor sits up at canopy height, with a glass frontage and a private deck. They are spread out along the hillside rather than lined up, so you are not looking into anyone else’s room.
Hilltop runs as a complete resort in its own right, with a restaurant, spa, infinity pool and front office of its own. Komodo Resort, its beach and its PADI dive centre are a short walk down the hill, and guests are free to use both.

Questions About the Pre-Sale
What exactly is the Hilltop pre-sale offer?
Forty percent off the published rate on any direct booking made before Hilltop Komodo Resort opens. You pay the pre-opening rate now and choose your dates later, anywhere from April 2027 through 2028. The booking is fully refundable and it does not expire.
Do I have to choose my dates now?
No. That is the point of the offer. You reserve at the pre-sale rate and pick your dates whenever you are ready, as long as they fall between April 2027 and the end of 2028. If your plans change, you can move them.
What happens if I change my mind?
The booking is fully refundable, so you can cancel and get your money back. We designed it that way deliberately, because we are asking you to book a resort you cannot visit yet.
Where is Hilltop Komodo Resort?
On Sebayur Island, the same private island as Komodo Resort, but up on the ridge instead of down on the beach. It is owned and run by the same team. Guests can use the facilities at both properties, including the dive centre.
What kinds of bungalow are there?
There are two kinds. Hilltop Sunrise runs along the ridge facing east over the channel, and Hilltop Sunset sits at the very top facing west. Both are finished to the same standard, so what differs is where they sit on the hill and which way they face.
Why do the Sunset rooms cost more?
Position, not specification. The Sunset bungalows sit at the highest point with nothing built above them and an uninterrupted view, and they face the sunset. The rooms themselves are finished to the same standard as the Sunrise bungalows.
Are the photographs real?
They are architectural renders, not photographs. Hilltop is under construction and opens in April 2027, so the finished bungalows do not exist to photograph yet. We would rather say so plainly than let you assume otherwise.
What is included in the rates?
Rates are per bungalow per night and come in three plans: full board with breakfast, lunch and dinner; bed and breakfast; or room only. Diving, transfers and park fees are arranged separately, as they are at Komodo Resort.
